Abstract

Upaya mengintegrasi gerak refleks menjadi gerak sadar dapat dilatih melalui Rytmic Movement Training (RMT). Kajian penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan Rhytmic Movement Therapy efektif untuk individu yang memiliki hambatan pada fungsi gerak dan gangguan koordinasi saraf. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengukur efektivitas RMT terhadap kematangan sosial untuk anak usia dini.  Metode penelitian menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design dengan alat ukur menggunakan vineland social maturity scale (VSMS).  Penentuan responden berdasarkan hasil rekomendasi guru dan persetujuan dari orangtua untuk mengikuti kegiatan. Ada 14 responden yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok yaitu eksperimen dan kontrol. Kegiatan dilakukan selama dua bulan pada masing-masing responden dengan dua kali latihan. Pengukurang dilakukan secara dua kali sebelum pemberian perlakuan dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan kematangan sosial pada kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen.  Pada kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan kematangan sosial sebelum dan sudah perlakuan. Hal ini terjadi dikarenakan tidak secara tekun dilakukan oleh orangtua. Oleh karena itu, peran aktif orang tua dalam pelaksanaan
