Hubungan Pola Asuh Ayah dan Kemampuan Regulasi Diri Anak 4-6 Tahun

Peran ayah dalam pengasuhan merupakan faktor penting dalam perkembangan regulasi diri anak usia dini, yaitu kemampuan mengelola emosi, perilaku, dan proses kognitif untuk mencapai tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji hubungan antara pola asuh ayah dan regulasi diri anak usia 4–6 tahun. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan melibatkan 161 ayah yang tinggal bersama anak. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire (PSDQ) untuk mengukur pola asuh ayah (otoritatif, otoriter, dan permisif) serta Children’s Self-Regulation Questionnaire (CSR) untuk mengukur regulasi diri anak. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas Kolmogorov–Smirnov serta korelasi Pearson dan Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga pola asuh ayah memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan regulasi diri anak, dengan pola asuh otoritatif menunjukkan korelasi tertinggi (r = 0,435), diikuti pola asuh otoriter (r = 0,398) dan permisif (r = 0,334). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengasuhan ayah berpotensi berkontribusi pada perkembangan regulasi diri anak melalui keseimbangan antara struktur, kehangatan, dan responsivitas. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperluas pemahaman tentang keterkaitan antara pengasuhan ayah dan regulasi diri anak usia dini dalam konteks budaya Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menegaskan pentingnya keterlibatan aktif ayah dalam pengasuhan sebagai landasan pengembangan regulasi diri anak secara optimal.
